Group Office Management
The Corporate Office of the Group provides strategic planning and control of the autonomous business units, which are run day-to-day by their respective management teams. The Corporate Office interfaces with all operating companies to ensure that issues and operational challenges are addressed on a “real time” basis and together with unit company management, work to achieve the objective of delivering increased shareholder value.
The roles played by the Corporate Office can be summarised as:

The Portfolio Management team is responsible for managing the investments of the Group in the business units in line with agreed objectives and expectations. The unit supports management of each unit company to achieve major enhancements to shareholder value. Portfolio Management unit also assists Management to formulate strategies and advise on ways to expand existing portfolio of investments to increase shareholder value and achieve sustainable growth.
The Business Development team identifies long term resource requirements of all Earl Group project needs. It evaluates the effectiveness of delivery of projects/contracts over a period as well as overall operational performance. It equally ensures that all stakeholders’ interests are well kept and well implemented. Finally, it ensures the proper close out of projects through the documentation and transfer of knowledge and evaluation of project success.
Human Capital Advisory
The Human Capital Advisory team coordinates the human resources management and administration functions of the Corporate Office. The team is also responsible for setting up and supervising HR function for start-up investments and selected business units, facilitating recruitment of first-rate senior executives for the effective management of portfolio investments and updating the Group’s HR policies based on identified best practices applicable for business units.
Legal & Regulatory Affairs
The Legal & Regulatory Affairs unit provides legal, secretarial and administration support services to the Earls Group. The unit ensures that the Group adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance and regulatory benchmarks and provides legal risk management.
Our Key People
Somto A Esq - Co-founder & Managing Director
Prior to Co-founding Earls Group, Somto was a practicing Barrister at a reputable law firm in Lagos, Nigeria where he specialized in Oil and Gas Law both at trial and appellant level. Arthur has also been involved in Public Interest Litigation and Law Development efforts. As a Co-founder, he coordinates the legal affairs of the group in addition to his managerial roles. He is also an Executive Director, Legal Affairs at i5 Consulting group.
Arthur is a law graduate and also holds Masters in international law from University of Hull, United Kingdom. A member of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators of Nigeria as well as numerous professional and charitable bodies.
Tioluwanmi I Esq - Co-founder
As a Co-founder, his contributions have been critical for strategic growth and development of the organisation on the part to unprecedented growth and profitability.
A graduate of Law from Bucks University, United Kingdom, with several executive management trainings obtained from top-tier business schools amongst which are Hult, Ashbridge and Globis. In addition, he has eight (8) years post-graduation experience which encompasses exposure and in-depth knowledge in Law, organizational leadership, portfolio management, venture capitalism, management consulting, strategic management, project management and entrepreneurship successes across diverse industries, markets and continents.
He is member of the following institutes: Institute of Legal Executive, United Kingdom and Institute of Management and Leadership, United Kingdom.
